Fibers

We offer a variety of fibers for sale including raw fleeces from our Cormo sheep and llamas, felting batts, and spinning rovings either dyed or undyed. Typically we have several luxurious blends on hand, ranging from Cormo/silk blends, llama/cormo blends, and many others including blends with alpaca and mohair.

Raw fleeces are covered to limit vegetation; they can be reserved ahead of time by e-mail. Generally, the price for raw cormo wool is $14 per lb. One of our ewe fleeces won Best Finewool Fleece and Reserve Champion Fleece overall at Michigan Fiberfest in 2002, so we hope that the fleeces will please you. We can mail samples upon request. Cormo wool has beautiful loft and softness; it makes a wonderful knitting yarn.

We also offer llama wool raw or as roving. Raw may have some limited vegetation although we do our best to pick it thoroughly. Llamas are basically dirtbags, and will roll at any given opportunity, usually several times a day. Cria clip and yearling clip may be a bit more expensive, depending on the fineness.

We do take reservations for any llama or cormo fleece that strikes your fancy. We also have a couple of wonderful crossbred sheep who have fleeces of exceptional quality.
