Jennifer Setser, my esteemed mother and operational manager of Winterhaven Fiber Farm (meaning she's the one who feeds, lambs, gives shots, etc.), is also a creator of fine and whimsical purses, slippers, and hats. She specializes in red hats for the lovely members of the red hat brigade. The majority of these posted here are made by the needle-felting process; some of them have been additionally water-felted for durability. Since they are all one of a kinds, sizes vary. We do our best to give you the accurate measurements for a good fit. They will stretch a tiny bit, but it is best to be precise for a proper fit. Do to the fact that it is best to try on a hat before purchase, we generally only offer hats for sale at the shows we attend (for a complete list of shows, see our home page). However, if you see a hat you have to have, give us an e-mail.

Needle felting handbags is one of my favorite activities. We sell a rectangular foam purse form which was used to make the bag pictured. Bags usually take from 2-4 hours to make, and I recommend at least 3 layers of roving/batting for durability and, at the minimum, a 4 needle tool for speed. The bag pictured was made strictly by the needle felting process; however, water felting can be utilized to further shrink and strengthen the article if you feel it necessary.
